Sant Jordi bag

This illustration was created for the design of a paper bag intended for book sales during Sant Jordi, one of the most important cultural celebrations in Catalonia. The bag is part of the material used by the booksellers’ guild for this occasion. The commission was supported by Banco Sabadell, together with the booksellers’ guild and in collaboration with Mushroom Agency. The image presents an allegorical scene in which a dragon lies buried under books, symbolizing its defeat through literature, in a reference to the legend of Sant Jordi. At the top, a figure (a bookseller, author, or book lover) embodies the power of words and culture. The illustration was made in gouache with digital retouching, using exclusively Banco Sabadell’s corporate colors, in shades of blue and black.
